Our natural reserve of the week is called “Op der Weimerecht” and can be found in the municipality of Junglinster. On the 7ha, we can find not only a forest, but also dry grasslands, a habitat of great importance to plant and animal diversity, especially insects. A special Dutch breed of sheep takes care of the extensive cultivation and helps diversify the land. Special is also the “Wakelter” (juniper) which grows here. You can easily explore the are via one of the many footpaths.
