Prof Catherine Leglu arrived at the University of Luxembourg in 2019. Her first year as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs saw the challenges of COVID-19.

The University of Luxembourg was founded in 2003 and has been ranked third by The Times Higher Educational supplement for its 'international outlook'. Its three missions are teaching, research and service to the country.

Professor Leglu has left behind a couple of decades of university teaching across numerous universities in the U.K., in French language and culture, to take up the post of Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. Under her leadership and direction the teaching staff had to rapidly adapt, like so many others, due to COVID-19
