SACEM's role in Luxembourg rights, royalties and licensing may sound complicated, but it's a very simple premise: Register with The Society of Music Authors, Composers and Editors (SACEM Luxembourg) ASAP, as they are responsible for defending the rights of writers and composers the world over. SACEM is also responsible for collecting royalties, which it must then pay to the writers.
Thus, it acts wherever music is played or reproduced, in cafés, bars, nightclubs, cinemas, concerts, dances, radio stations, television stations, on the internet, in stores, in any public premises, etc.
