This week we preview Olivia Wilde's awkward dinner-party comedy The Invite and Zach Cregger's fresh assault on Resident Evil, before counting down Luxembourg's Kinepolis Top Five, where The Odyssey remains enormous but Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still king of the box office.
There's plenty brewing elsewhere in Hollywood: Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom has the Fantastic Four rather upset, Charles Melton could be heading into Naruto, Oasis are reliving their mammoth reunion and we remember Heroes and Nashville star Hayden Panettiere.
On television, Yision and Ultron return, Sons of Anarchy gets a wonderfully strange meta-reunion, Alicia Silverstone dusts off Cher Horowitz for more Clueless, while a couple of directors have given HBO's Harry Potter a very definite no.
Our reviews couldn't be more different. Tiny-budget horror phenomenon Obsession gets the full five stars for turning brilliant performances, framing and sound design into an almost unbearable exercise in tension, despite possessing plot holes large enough to require planning permission. Martial-arts bloodbath The Furious gets two: phenomenal fighting, inventive violence and enough splatter to repaint your living room, unfortunately interrupted by occasional outbreaks of plot.
Plus, Post Malone actually plays his $2million Magic card, Sony remains coy about the PlayStation 6, Fortnite gets more Sabrina Carpenter and GTA VI players demonstrate an impressive willingness to hand Rockstar even more money.
And holding this entire cultural jumble together is the magnificent Dirty Dancing soundtrack, because nobody puts Baby in a corner, and nobody with functioning ears skips Hungry Eyes.
