Newcomers Edveki Muzik prompted several listeners to text in about the beautiful voice and guitar playing - their gig tonight is sold out but look out for them doing further live sessions at Vantage and Konrads! Spookily enough, as were talking about their taking on running an open mic session they told me they had taken over from Flo Sundas - by genuine coincidence the artist I was just about to play! Alongside the chat they busted out a gorgeous version of Oops! I Did It Again, Tuyo (from Narcos) and Hersheye Yak, which they often perform in Greek and Turkish but played today in Turkish only. Brilliant in multiple languages!
The last time I was talking to Fransisco of the Ferocious Few he was headed stateside - now he's back with an album release at Rockhal on February 17th, organised with Rocklab - and the neat twist of every ticket for the show receiving a 10" EP on the night! He played 2 tracks from this live while we also heard the new single - out today!
Indeed, plenty of new ones today: Irina, Ramblin' South, Sun Smash Palace - a busy week for music in the Grand Duchy! There were 1st plays for Sheebaba, Tobisonics, Flo Sundas and more to boot!
