At 14, Amy Thompson joined FC Progrès Niederkorn and began her unstoppable rise. By 16, she made her debut for Luxembourg's national team, played in Germany's Bundesliga, and became the first Luxembourg footballer to play in the U.S.

After an injury, she transitioned to coaching at FC Progrès Niederkorn. In 2021, she returned to the field with FC Mamer 32, where she won the Dribble d'or as Luxembourg's best player in 2022 and 2023.
