Charlie Winston, is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His 6th studio album ‘As I am’ was released in the summer of 2022. The album is a result of a long period of self-exploration and psychotherapy and in It he has striven to strip everything back, allowing himself to be more vulnerable and accept himself for who he is. He has even left behind his signature trilby hat which he explained to me began to feel more like a “costume”. During the interview we discuss how growing up in a hotel with a bohemian atmosphere left him with many things he’s had to unpack, how psychotherapy cured his chronic decade-long back-pain and how fatherhood has taught him to learn how to be a father to himself.
