Dr Chika Unigwe is the author of four books and a professor of writing at Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville. She was born and raised in Nigeria and also lived in Belgium for 19 years. Her 2011 novel, 'On Black Sisters’ Street' (Random House) won Africa's biggest literary prize and has been translated in several languages including French, German, Hebrew and Italian, and a movie production is in the works. Dr Unigwe was visiting Luxembourg especially for the Insight Project's roundtable discussion Slavery: Past and Present at Nieumunster Abbey.
