Melissa was joined by Marko Anyfandakis from TERRA; an agro-ecological centre in the heart of Luxembourg that grows over 300 different vegetable and fruit varieties in ways that regenerate rather than deplete our soils. The harvest is then distributed to their members who get a weekly share of local and fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the growing season. We discuss the current state of local agriculture here in Luxembourg, why it's important to support local food systems and how to combat food waste. TERRA is also an educational centre offering a wide range of courses, workshops, open-day events that gives the public an opportunity to reconnect with where their food comes from.
