Benny J is a multi-talented artist orginally from Australia who has lived in this region for 11 years. Benny's art focuses on his life and experiences living with a debilitating disease which he has had since birth. He highlights his mental health challenges and continues to find new ways to describe the varying types of pain he endures. To help him deal with his chronic pain he delves into his art to help distract himself; he draws, does stand-up comedy, writes poetry, makes epoxy resin art, is a photographer, makes woodwork and knits. On May 11th 2023 he will run an event called "Embracing Life: How to adapt to an ever changing world" in the city centre which is free entry.
