Fabrizio Maltese: filmmaker & photographer discusses 'The Invitation'

Fabrizio Maltese is a renowned Italian photographer and documentary filmmaker who is based in Paris and Luxembourg. His celebrity portraits have graced the covers of magazines all around the globe, including The Hollywood Reporter, GQ and Rolling Stones. Maltese has directed multiple feature-length documentary films and told us about his latest project 'The Invitation' which is a Red Lion production, distributed by Tarantula Distribution and is now in cinemas. The film was conceived by renowned film director and producer Pol Cruchten who asked Fabrizio to be involved but when Pol passed away in 2019, Fabrizio had the difficult task of taking on the production and ensuring it matched Pol's aspirations and legacy. Fabrizio tells us about his journey making the film and becoming lost in the Mauritanian desert.
