The piano duo Vershinina/Lee (Yulia Vershinina-Mukhopadhyay & Chiahu 'Chia-Chia' Lee) recenetly released Chiahu Lee’s complete recomposition J.S. Bach’s 15 two-part inventions for two pianos. '(Ré)inventions à deux pianos' is a personal rewriting of Bach’s work from the original score in the style of classical music fused with pop, minimalism and smooth jazz. Chia-Chia joined Melissa to discuss the close friendship that her and Yulia share, how they explore the theme of variation in their work and her goal to spread the word about contemporary female composers.
