Thérèse Collins and Christa Brown spoke with Sam and Mer about the return of The Rose of Tralee, both a competition as well as a party held in Luxembourg

While it's been on hiatus since the pandemic, the Rose of Tralee will take place this year and Today Radio's morning show host, Sam Steen, promises to keep everyone dancing until 3am as the party's dj!

Now all that remains is the big question as to who will be crowned the Luxembourg Rose?!

Women with Irish connections from around the world take part in the competition and the international festival attracts around 100,000 visitors annually for a five-day event in Tralee, County Kerry.

If you are a young women between the ages of 18 to 30 and were either born in Ireland, have Irish citizenship or are of Irish origin via an ancestor, you may apply. Closing date for entries is 28 February and the party is on Saturday 17 May at Parc Alvisse Hotel in Dommeldange.

To register for the information session on the evening of 21 January at the Irish Embassy on Route d’Arlon, email luxembourgrosecentre@roseoftralee.ie no later than 17 January. Registration is required.

The winner will attend the Rose of Tralee International Festival from 15 August to 19 August.

While Irish dancing is not a prerequisite, contestants must apply by Friday 28 February 2025. Applications can be made by writing to luxembourgrosecentre@roseoftralee.ie or on the Rose of Tralee website. More information can be found on the Luxembourg Rose Facebook and Instagram feeds.
