Festival organizer, Geoff Thompson, dropped by to chat about what we can anticipate with the 2025 Spring Edition

Geoff filled us in about one of our favourite festivals which provides a unique opportunity to experience a wide selection of new films from Britain and Ireland. The 2025 SPRING EDITION includes eleven feature-length films from a cross-section of genres and representing mainly independent cinema. In addition, they will be screening some short films, including a ten-minute documentary from the winners of the Young Filmmakers Competition 2023/24.
Which ones are we rather excited about? Did someone say PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA? Meredith's favourite genre? 'Kathleen is Here' will screen at Cine Utopia on Thursday, the 27th of March and as a special treat, the director, Eva Birthistle as well as the star of the film, Hazel Doupe, will be in attendance.
