UNICEF: The state of Gaza since the ceasefire

An expert in the field, Rosalie Bollen, stopped by to chat about the extreme destruction of Gaza but also the goals for helping the youngest victims.
Rosalie has spent considerable time in Gaza, but upon returning after the onset of the war, she was struck by the devastation. The landscape is unrecognizable. Landmarks have completely vanished and the destruction is almost surreal.
UNICEF currently has 1300 trucks filled with critical tents and tarpaulins to establish emergency shelters. They are also sending hygiene kits, nappies for babies to support the 545,000 children who are under ten years old.
Rosalie has spoken with numerous mothers and children, and the challenges continue to grow. Access to clean drinking water is increasingly difficult, and every contribution is vital, especially following the declaration of famine in August.
Every bit of aid will make a difference. Of course NGOs and the private sectors must work together but you can get involved by donating to unicef.lu
