LUkraine has launched a new Christmas campaign aimed at supporting Ukrainian women serving on the front line, with full backing from Luxembourg’s Directorate of Defence. The initiative, titled Warm Her Courage, was discussed on The Sam Steen Show this week by Inna Yaremenko from the Luxembourg based non profit organisation.

The campaign focuses on providing essential winter equipment for women currently serving in the armed forces of Ukraine. Around 70,000 women are now in active service, many of whom were doctors, teachers, engineers, writers, mothers and daughters before the war. As Inna explained during the interview, the Ukrainian army was not originally equipped for such a large number of women, particularly when it comes to properly fitted uniforms and winter gear.
