Europe Day 2026

Luxembourg is only country in the European Union who celebrates the 9th of May a.k.a Europe Day. We were lucky to have Christoph Schroeder drop by the studio to chat a little bit about the history of the day as well as the weekend events we all have to look forward to.
Luxembourg born, French Foreign Minister in 1951, Robert Schuman made a declaration in Paris to bring arch enemies around the table in Europe and began the path to forming what we now know as the European Union.
Saturday, May 9th from 10 to 6pm, you can stop by European Parliament and learn what it all means. There will be info stands from the various ministries as well as food trucks which will offer everyone a nice day and discover what the European Parliament means for us.
On Sunday, May 10th the main event celebrating Europe Day 2026 will move to Wilz Castle and will feature a European village, local traditions for families, and guided tours of the castle. See you there!
