R.I.P. B.F.F.
We were lucky to chat with Valentine Mansy and Eve Stors. Valentine is a young Luxembourg-based filmmaker and Eve stars in her film. They stopped by to chat about the independent short film called R.I.P B.F.F. that debuts at Casino on Wednesday, 24th of June.
Valentine funded the whole production through cookie sales at her university and built a team that is nearly 80 percent women. In two weeks, they are holding a screening here in Luxembourg.
The film follows two teenage best friends, July and Penelope, who have spent years planning a trip to Amsterdam. One morning on a bridge, everything left unsaid between them rises to the surface, and the trip falls apart along with their friendship. It is an honest, colourful look at girlhood, drawn from personal experience.
