Peaceful Women's Safety March Organised by Ask for Angela: Friday Oct 2nd

Terri Allington stopped by to chat with Meredith and Sam about the short, peaceful march taking place in Luxembourg City on the International Day of Non-Violence.
The March is open to all women, men, children and dogs taking place on Friday, October 2nd starting at 6:30.
Meet at Hamilius and head through the city centre to Knuedler. Everyone is welcome, and no registration is required.
The march is called “Les femmes devraient pouvoir marcher sans avoir peur” (“Women should be able to walk without fear”) and is part of Ask for Angela’s #UnderReacting / #SousRéaction campaign. Its focus is violence against women and the idea that women are too often told to change their own behaviour, routes or habits to avoid being attacked.
Walk together to show that women should be able to walk the streets safely. We'll have paper fans, whistles, and flags for you to demonstrate the absurdity of what women are expected to do to keep safe.
18:15: Meet outside the Hôtel des Postes at Hamilius, 25 Rue Aldringen
18:30: March begins
19:15-ish: Expected finish
No registration required
Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender or identity
Terri is the woman behind Ask For Angela Luxembourg which is a safety initiative whose aim is simple. If you are in a bar, restaurant or public venue, and if you feel unsafe, uneasy, or overwhelmed approach a member of staff and ask, "Is Angela working?" - no explanation needed. Staff will offer you a safe, quiet space such as a back office or hallway and help you find a safe way home, call for a taxi, contact a friend, or reach out to security and and/or the police.
We're not overreacting. You're underreacting.
