Gaston, an ageing poet and filmmaker, lives amid the ruins of his neighbourhood’s steel and mining industry.

Nestled between forests, industrial remnants, and both national and linguistic borders, this tiny two-square-kilometre area that he has inhabited and documented since birth is the source of all his poetic inspiration.

Secluded in his family home, Gaston reflects on his life and work, mapping them in detail.

Despite this cartographic endeavour, his familiar landmarks begin to fade…
