Episode 63 took us from the bruising world of American football to the far reaches of the galaxy.

Things kicked things off by revisiting the soundtrack to Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday, a gloriously chaotic blend of rock, rap and attitude that perfectly reflected the film's larger-than-life vision of modern sport. We also previewed a pair of upcoming family favourites in Supergirl and Minions & Monsters, both heading to Kinepolis for special advance screenings.

At the Luxembourg box office, Michael continued its reign at number one, holding off strong competition from The Mandalorian & Grogu, indie horror sensation Obsession and the ever-fashionable The Devil Wears Prada 2. Elsewhere, Hollywood news focused on the growing influence of YouTube filmmakers, with Obsession and Backrooms proving that online creators are becoming a genuine force in mainstream cinema. We also took a look at the trailer for David Leitch's How To Rob A Bank and the intriguing class-war thriller Rich Flu from The Platform director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia.

Streaming fans had plenty to chew on too. Apple TV+ impressed with the alternate-history space thriller Star City, Anya Taylor-Joy went on the run in crime drama Lucky, and Silo prepared to answer some of its biggest mysteries yet in season three.

Meanwhile, our review, this week focused on Netflix's Legends, the gripping true-crime drama about Britain's undercover war on drugs. Despite occasionally feeling rushed, it earned a strong four-star recommendation thanks to its superb cast, sharp visuals and relentless tension.

Gaming brought delays, surprises and a touch of the bizarre. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis slipped into 2027, God of War: Laufey reassured fans that Kratos isn't being retired, and Nintendo somehow found a way to turn Mario into a Crocs fashion statement. We also uncovered the story of Michael Jackson's lost fantasy video game project, Dark Fantasy, before signing off with a reminder that sometimes the strangest stories in entertainment are the real ones.

All told, another packed hour of films, television, streaming, gaming and pop-culture oddities.
