Jon McClure, aka, the Reverend of Reverend & The Makers, was for a time in the noughties, the UK’s next big thing. A former flatmate of a certain Alex Turner and the voice behind the ubiquitous Heavyweight Champion Of The World, McClure was across the covers of all the music press, filling up inches with soundbite and pith. Behind all the bravado and laddish preening was a chap who possesses a lot of musical nous and with a new album set to be released in 2023, are we ready or indeed prepared for the second coming?
