The Lunchbox - CVC itvw pt.2 : Dave and Nanial

“We live in a post-modern world, and everything is sort of a copy of what came before it”
In this second part of my chat with Dave and Naniel of Welsh collective, CVC, we continue to learn what it means to be in band that are again on the up after being touted for BIG things some 3 years ago. The lads let us know what they think of reviews and, ultimately, the press at large, why it is important to collaborate and experiment, and, though the band are delighted with the music they have made before, they want newer material to sound less like it has definite influence and for it to be unmistakably CVC. The pair state that seeing the 1975’s stage craft was an eye-opening experience and meeting Rick Astley was a pivotal moment in CVC’s career so far. We also discover how the band view debut album Get Real as a kind of Frankenstein’s monster. This is part two of our conversation.
