The Lunchbox - Heather Woods Broderick itvw pt.1

"It still helps to have a heavy-hitting 'voice' saying 'this is good', in the interim, I hope we can shift away from the three main sources of influence"
In this chat with the multi-talented Heather Woods Broderick we learn a little bit about how her latest LP Labyrinth was formed, how the music model both works for and against artists who are not peddling material for the masses. Heather has worked and toured with brilliant acts and musicians such as Horse Feathers, Efterklang, Sharon Van Etten, and Lisa Hannigan, we discover that it may have been that, at a young age, having heard her mother singing folk lullabies at bed time drew her toward making music in the first place, and we also stumble on the fact that Heather would kill it on The Price Is Right. This is part one of two. Image: courtesy of Jeremy Johnstone
