Baxter Dury will take stage at Den Atelier this coming weekend and does so in support of his new LP, 'I Thought I Was Better Than You', chatting to the erudite words man just a few weeks after the record was released, we find Baxter in a reflective and contemplative mood, not really keen on espousing on English cliches nor to the connections that often cling to him like cleavers to a jumper. We find him to be instead a little protective of his privacy and all too aware that the awkwardness that makes his music so appealing also cuts off his route to apparent wider success.
