The Lunchbox: Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio pt 2

“Music is romantic, it’s a beautiful, magical thing, something that you share with each other that you don’t get from a robot handing it to you“
Blood, Hair, Eyeballs by Alkaline was released earlier today… and that day being Friday 26th January, at the time of edit. It is Alkaline Trio’s 10th album and is up their as one of their finest moments. Here, as the conversation with Matt Skiba continues, we cover the Blink-182, Trio promo vortex…how he’s comfortable with talking about, there’s no tea to spill, and grateful for the fans Alkaline gained as a result. We also speak on the audience growing with and around the band, how changes to behaviours on and off the stage have reduced the number of aches and pains in terms of performance and a great discussion on the press and radio’s role in music promotion. This is part two of two, if for some reason, you are yet to listen to part one…well, yeah, do that and then click play on this one. Blood, Hair and Eyeballs is out now.
