Take a Break with Lindy Hop!

From the 18th to the 26th of January, there's no prior experience required and all are welcome to the jazz dance events put on by 'Take a Break.'
The party is on Saturday 25th in Vantage Bar, with a live band (4 Breakfast Only) from Germany. There’s also going to be an international teacher couple (quite big names in the community). Entrance is 20€ for the party and everyone is welcome, dancer or not, just come for the music and the vibe.
The Saturday before, January 18th we have a two-hour beginner Lindy Hop workshop and a two-hour beginner Solo Jazz workshop. Open to anyone, no experience required, and no partner required for the Lindy Hop workshop either.
The rest of the week revolves around a solo jazz routine called the Shim Sham. It is a well-known routine (within the community) and often danced at social dances. The Frankie Manning’s Shim Sham is very accessible to dancers with little experience. The remaining Shim Sham workshops are variations of this, and therefore require at least some basic Solo Jazz knowledge.
The Air Steps and Old School Lindy Hop workshops on the second weekend are hosted by the aforementioned star-teachers Jill De Muelenaere and Alexandre McCormack. Those require more advanced knowledge and experience in Lindy Hop.
The event is co-founded by the Ministry of Culture, so it would be amazing if the party, and the beginner workshops were attracting a bigger crowd.
