In this chat with Debby Friday, an electronic musician, born in Nigeria, currently based in Toronto, Canada, we talk on all things ravey after first establishing that the multi-talented creator is a Ghostbuster through and through… Having released debut EP BitchPunk wwwaaaaayyy back in 2018, it has take the subsequent 5 years for Debby Friday to truly establish who she is as an artist. Debut LP Good Luck, released at the end of March of this year is a hard-hitting pulsing beast of a record but one with subtleties and vulnerabilities at its core. We learn how Friday needed to be secure in changing up her vocal styles and having to place her trust in a producer better known for punk-pop-guitars than beats and bars to find the themes that fed Good Luck. At heart Debby wants to create a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to get lost in the music and experience life on different levels.
