The Lunchbox - Durand Jones itvw pt 2

"I tell the band, if you’re playing and you’re thinking about what you’re gonna do after the show, then we ain’t doing it right”
This concluding part of my time with Durand Jones lifts the lid on why forcing things will yield poorer results, how there is a full-on relationship between the stage and the audience in the creation of something special. Durand Jones as a solo artist is free to try things out and is not afraid to fail, whereas when working with The Indications, the collaborative process means there is as much give as there is take… Durand is clear, though, that this new soul wave, is no passing trend and that he would love for his music to be classified as classic soul. This is part two of two, please go check out part one on RTL Play. (Image: Rahim Fortune)
