The Lunchbox: Luzac - LSC interview

“So many people work comfortable lives, but their real passion is waiting outside of work, that’s what Prison Dorée is about”
Steps welcomed Luzac, one of Luxembourg’s contenders for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest into the studio, to discuss his new entry Prison Dorée.
Luzac explained that the song is far more personal than last year’s entry Je Danse, reflecting his own experience of feeling stuck in a “golden cage”, working a stable job while longing to pursue music full-time, a feeling he believes many listeners will recognise.
Luzac spoke about his musical beginnings, his evolving performance skills, and his love of blending genres to create expressive, theatrical songs with strong Eurovision energy.
He also revealed symbolic staging ideas, including a golden skeleton prop, and emphasised the supportive atmosphere among this year’s competitors.
Driven and focused on turning music into his career, Luzac introduced Prison Dorée with gratitude and excitement for the contest ahead.
